Thought fashion month was over? Think again. The end of Paris Fashion Week spring/summer 2020 signals the start of east Asia’s round of shows and presentations. The first stop is Shanghai, where the city’s power players will gather to present their latest collections from October 9 to 20.
Alongside the usual tradeshows and showrooms, the schedule features London-based label Xu Zhi, LVMH Prize-shortlisted Feng Chen Wang and International Woolmark Prize nominee Staffonly. Sustainability will be at the heart of the line-up, with the unveiling of a new eco-friendly venue built on the eastern side of Taiping Lake in Xintiandi, part of Shanghai’s Huangpu District.
Long revered for its commercial clout, Shanghai is proving to be a hotbed of innovation, too. Kering will be in attendance to present its first K Generation Award to changemakers in greater China who are challenging the status quo and bringing a positive environmental and social impact to the sector.
As the shows get underway, Vogue photographer Paul Won Jeong shortlists the best-dressed guests. Take inspiration from the most eye-catching looks, here.
